Cruise Circle GUARANTEE not to be beaten on price on ANY Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines itinerary.

Gemma's Thursday Focus:

Having just got back from a sneaky little ship visit to see the Black Watch in all of her glory I wanted to write a little piece about what I thought.

I didn't really know what to expect with her being an older ship than most but I can honestly say I loved her! She's very small and cosy, which is just perfect with some of the other cruise line's bringing out these HUGE ships that sometimes look like blocks of flats. Stepping on to Fred.Olsen is how cruising used to be. All the staff were so welcoming, everyone you passed on the ship had a huge smile and greeted you with a friendly hello, it was like coming home to a family that you've never met, that may sound strange bit it just made you feel so comfortable and at ease straight away, knowing that you would be looked after.

Even though she is a smaller ship she still has all of the facilities you would expect to see onboard. The Neptune lounge, which is where most of the entertainment is, felt big and spacious and not cramped at all. Fred.Olsen have two sittings for meal times and shows coincide with each sitting so you wont miss out on anything. The pool area was lovely and clean, lots of sun loungers in the sun and the shady areas too (you won't be fighting for a sun bed on this ship).

The cabins were lovely and light, we managed to see a big selection of the cabins they offer and each one was stunning with lots of room. The L shaped beds in some of the cabins sometimes put some people off however, with how the cabins are set out it actually creates a lot more floor space. Each cabin has a smart TV and hairdryer (hairdryer chosen by a lady, may I add).

After our ship tour we headed to the main dining room for my favourite part... Lunch! What a meal, it was honestly some of the best food at sea i've ever had, we were treat to a three-course lunch to get the customer experience and the dining room staff were fabulous. To summarise my trip, I would recommend Fred.Olsen to most people, if you favour a welcoming, ‘home-from-home’ atmosphere, friendly, smiling staff and like-minded fellow guests with whom you can share a good story or two, you’ll likely find travelling with Fred. Olsen a rewarding experience. You don’t have to take their word for it though: they're so confident that you’ll like cruising with them that they offer an Enjoyment Promise as standard.** Click Here to find out more about their promise
