Klaksvík is the second largest town in the Faroe Islands and is located on Borðoy. Dating back to Viking times, it is now the cultural and commercial centre for the Northern Isles. Places to visit include the brewery Föroya Bjór founded in 1888 and the Christianskirkjan built in 1963, the first in Scandinavia to be built in Old Norse style.
