MSC Musica is a sophisticated Musica Class ship that combines elegant design with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. With space for around 3,200 guests, the ship is large enough to offer plenty of choice while retaining a more intimate feel than some of MSC Cruises’ newest mega-ships. From the moment you step on board, the ship makes an impression, with its striking three-tier waterfall and a transparent piano seemingly suspended above the water in the central foyer. Throughout the ship, you’ll find polished interiors, contemporary furnishings and a mixture of lively social spaces and quieter places to relax.
There’s plenty to discover across MSC Musica’s public areas, whether you’re looking for entertainment, dining, relaxation or somewhere to enjoy a drink. The ship has swimming pools and whirlpools, dedicated children’s facilities, a spa and fitness centre, a casino and a theatre, alongside a wide choice of bars and lounges. With almost all of the ship’s accommodation offering a balcony or outside view, you can also enjoy your own private space to take in the sea views when you’re not exploring the ship.
MSC Musica offers a good balance of daytime activities and places to simply switch off. Around the pool area, you can spend time swimming, relaxing on a sun lounger or enjoying the whirlpools, while the open deck provides space to enjoy the sunshine and sea views. There are also dedicated areas for younger guests, including an indoor play area, a children’s pool and separate Kids and Teens Clubs, giving families plenty of options for keeping younger travellers entertained. If you prefer to stay active, the MSC Gym Powered by Technogym® provides modern fitness equipment alongside ocean views.
For relaxation, the MSC Aurea Spa offers a more tranquil escape, with wellness facilities and treatments designed to help you unwind. When evening arrives, the ship takes on a livelier atmosphere. Teatro La Scala provides a setting for live performances, while the Crystal Lounge is a place to enjoy music and dancing. You can also try your luck at Sanremo Casino or relax with a drink in one of the ship’s many bars and lounges. The range of venues means you can make your evenings as lively or as relaxed as you like, moving between entertainment, drinks and live performances throughout the night.
You’ll have a choice of restaurants and buffet dining on MSC Musica, making it easy to find something to suit different tastes and occasions. The main dining restaurants, including Oleandro and Belle Epoque, provide a more traditional sit-down dining experience, with a varied selection of dishes served in an elegant setting. For something more casual, Gli Archi Buffet Restaurant and Il Giardino offer a wider choice of dishes in a relaxed environment, making them particularly convenient for breakfast, lunch or a more informal dinner.
There are also speciality dining options for when you fancy something different. Butcher’s Cut offers a modern steakhouse experience centred around premium cuts of meat, while Kaito Sushi Bar provides Japanese-inspired dining and freshly prepared sushi. Between meals, you’ll find plenty of places to enjoy a coffee, aperitif or cocktail, including the Enoteca Wine Bar and Crystal Lounge. With around ten bars and lounges across the ship, you can choose between relaxed and sophisticated settings depending on the time of day and the mood.
MSC Musica offers a broad choice of accommodation, from comfortable Interior and Ocean View cabins to Balcony cabins and more spacious suites. The ship has 1,275 cabins in total, with Balcony cabins making up a particularly significant part of the accommodation. A standard Deluxe Interior cabin is approximately 14m², while Ocean View cabins offer around 16m² of space and include a window overlooking the sea. All cabins provide a comfortable base with a bathroom, storage, television, safe, minibar and air conditioning, with beds that can be configured as a double or two singles where applicable.
A Balcony cabin gives you the added benefit of your own outdoor space, where you can sit and enjoy the sea breeze and changing views without leaving your cabin. Depending on the category, Balcony cabins measure approximately 15–18m² with balconies of around 4–5m², while Premium Balcony options offer additional space. For a more spacious experience, Premium Suite Aurea accommodation measures approximately 26m² and includes a larger balcony and separate sitting area, alongside the additional benefits associated with the Aurea experience. MSC Musica also offers accessible cabins and connecting accommodation in selected categories, making it possible to tailor your accommodation to the way you prefer to travel.

MSC Cruises is one of the most diverse cruise lines you can sail on with a multicultural mix of Italians, Brits, Spanish, Germans and French in the Mediterranean, with more North Americans in the Caribbean (but still lots of Italians and Spanish-speaking passengers), and a big local market in South Africa and South America. You'll also come across all ages. The lively night scene means these ships work well for teens and younger cruisers, while the decent kids' clubs (particularly on the newer ships) and the clever arrangements of clustered family cabins mean a lot of families travel during school holidays.
Yes, a little. The usual dress code is informal during the day and smart-casual at night -- think nice trousers and shirt for men and nice pants/skirts with blouse or cocktail dress for women. There's usually one gala night per cruise, when black tie or dark suit and tie are encouraged for men, as is a formal dress for women. This is not enforced, but people do make an effort.
No, unless you're in one of the Yacht Club suites, and even then, not everything is included. MSC sells its cruises through a somewhat bewildering array of packages: Bella, Fantastica, Aurea and Yacht Club. All include your accommodation, meals in specified restaurants and big-stage entertainment, along with basic coffee and tea, and select juices at breakfast and lunch. Beyond that, perks and inclusions vary by which package you've purchased, with Bella having no additional inclusions and Aurea featuring unlimited beverages. The Yacht Club has the most inclusions, with extra dining venues for eating, spa thermal suite passes and most beverages (plus access to a personal butler and a dedicated Yacht Club lounge and pool).
The action onboard an MSC ship is nonstop, with cruisers flocking to participate in pool games, sports contests, shopping promotions, trivia, karaoke and filling the nightclubs until late. On newer ships, high-tech arcade games are all the rage, including a 4D cinema, laser maze, F1 simulator and bowling. Many MSC cruisers are also just as happy to park themselves by a pool and stay there all day, and when the ship is in port, you'll find the vast majority of cruisers off the ship on ship-sponsored or independent tours.
