Holland America Line’s Oosterdam is set to undergo a major transformation through the Holland America Evolution programme, marking a new chapter in the ship’s development. Rather than a routine refurbishment, the project will modernise the ship from bow to stern, bringing features inspired by the cruise line’s newer Pinnacle Class ships while retaining the elegant atmosphere and personal service for which Holland America is known. A key addition will be the Grand Dutch Café, an inviting venue inspired by European café culture and the company’s Dutch heritage, offering coffee, pastries and light refreshments. The transformation will also introduce 76 additional staterooms, including new accommodation categories such as Solo Verandah rooms, alongside refreshed existing cabins, suites and public spaces. These changes are designed to provide greater choice, improved comfort and more contemporary onboard experiences without losing Oosterdam’s established character.
