Saga Cruises took delivery of Spirit of Adventure from the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, in October 2020. The follow up to Saga's 2019 new build, Spirit of Discovery, the 987-passenger ship will make its debut in July of 2021. Spirit of Adventure was originally due to launch in August 2020, but the date had to be pushed back because of uncertainty around global travel due to the coronavirus pandemic. Geared to the British over-fifty market, there is no casino, games arcade or climbing wall on Spirit of Adventure. Instead, passengers can expect an upmarket interior and spacious venues, with the 58,250-gross-ton ship styled on a luxury boutique hotel. In recent years Saga Cruises has become the most inclusive cruise line in the UK with a growing list of extras -- including up to six shore excursions from 2021 -- included in the cost of a cruise.
The Spa is a sumptuous sanctuary for relaxation and presents a neutral and warming decor. Along with the six treatment rooms, the Thermal Suite boasts a 200-foot vitality pool, steam room, infrared sauna and heated lounge chairs

The Playhouse is the ship's theatre, and the intimate venue offers guests spectacular views from every seat. In the evening, enjoy West-End styled shows and performances, and in the daytime, expect matinee performances, talks and lectures
The Supper Club offers cabaret style evenings with delicious dining choices. Visit here for pre or post dinner drinks or why not reserve a table for dinner and enjoy the night that is filled with music and cocktails
The Library is one of the finest afloat and offers a quiet, relaxed space located at the top of the atrium. It presents an artisanal coffee-shop feel with its self-service area of freshly ground coffees and teas, along with delicious snacks
Presenting an Art Deco flair, the Lido deck offers guests a beautiful swimming pool and outdoor area to relax. You can enjoy refreshing drinks from the nearby bars or light bites from the Grill, such as traditional fish and chips and burgers
Browse at your leisure in the onboard shop to take advantage of tax-free purchases. Offering products such as clothes, fine jewellery, watches, cosmetics and the latest fragrances, there is something for every taste, budget and interest
